The company, which has five quarry sites across the west of England, has been approached to supply cement mix for a major utilities project within the county of Gloucestershire and has received requests for its aggregate products used in construction.

Moreton Cullimore, managing director of The Cullimore Group, said: “We will begin to deliver aggregates, sands, and gravels to construction sites and projects, and general public home building from 18 May. Ready-mixed concrete will also be available for delivery from our sites in Gloucester and Stroud.

“I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our customers for their patience, and to our employees who are keen and willing to come back to work at the appropriate time.”

Cullimore stressed that employees would be under no pressure to return if they are medically shielding or in an at-risk group. He also reiterated that any deliveries would be carried out according to social distancing measures, as part of a phased, safe return to operations.

The Cullimore Group anticipates its site in Cirencester will return to operation from 26 May. The Group’s HGV servicing lane at its Whitminster site has also reopened.

Cullimore added: “The supply of construction material has been defined as essential by the Government and the safety of our employees remains of paramount importance to us.”
