The MPQC Continuing Professional Development (CPD) smart device app has been chosen as the platform of choice for the UK’s Institute of Concrete Technology.
The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT) wanted to assist its members with recording CPD, utilising technology to make it easy and smart. To enable this, they investigated offering its members a CPD recording smart device app. After initially considering developing its own app, as well as existing CPD recording apps, ICT decided that the MPQC CPD app matched all its requirements.
Michael Grantham, then ICT president, said: “The MPQC app has a number of features that will benefit our members greatly; automatic population of CPD, the ability to book new CPD training via the app, the ability to take pictures and the search/share features, all of which make the app very versatile. We’re pleased that we could collaborate with MPQC in this way and strengthen the links between both organisations for the benefit of the industry.”
MPQC, the organisation that oversees standards, training and skills for the mining, quarrying, construction and related industries, was initially approached by ICT in mid-2017 to discuss how the two organisations could collaborate and work together to provide tangible benefits to ICT’s members.
Anthony Elgey, general manager at MPQC, said: “We welcomed the approach from ICT and immediately recognised how we could collaborate and develop some new features that would not only benefit ICT’s members but also MPQC’s. By pooling our resources we can bring even more benefits to the industry, as well as giving us the opportunity to re-skin the app and incorporate the ICT colours and branding.”
MPQC and ICT are proud to announce that the new and improved CPD app is now live.
Search MPQC CPD on Android and Apple devices and download the app. Users should contact MPQC or ICT for an access code.
