Hanson setting the standard for psychological health & safety

Hanson has become the first UK heavy building materials company to reach the standard for managing psychosocial risk in the workplace.

The company havs been awarded ISO 45003:2021, occupational health and safety management – psychological health and safety at work, reflecting Hanson's ongoing commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees.

It demonstrates that Hanson has achieved the required standard for managing psychosocial risks and promoting wellbeing at work as part of an occupational health and safety management system.

Psychosocial risks relate to how work is organised; social factors at work; and aspects of the work environment, equipment and hazardous tasks.
