The venture comprises of six separate projects and Hanson is providing 45,000m3 of its specialist concrete for the track beds on one of these. This contract with Colas Rail, one of the nine organisations which make up the MMA, is already underway and is part of the renewal of the existing line in Wolverhampton.
The £1.35 billion tram project will take place over ten years and improve transport links in the West Midlands and aid regeneration, as well as providing local jobs and training.
