448 Metso has signed a non-exclusive sales agency agreement with Seepra Recycling Group for the Indian market.

The agreement covers sales of Metso's waste recycling equipment in India including fine-, mobile- and pre-shredders.

The Finnish mining and quarrying equipment giant says it will benefit from Seepra Recycling Group's knowledge of both the local markets and Metso's own waste recycling equipment and business.

All after sales activities will continue to be governed by Metso. The company says its local service network for minerals processing customers will complement the waste recycling services.

"Strengthening the partner network allows us to establish new relationships and provide more of our solutions and services to our customers," says Lars Laursen, Metso general sales manager for waste recycling in Asia Pacific. "We increase our coverage and get important market insights through best-in-class agencies and distributors."

Metso's global waste recycling community has nearly 30 official distributors and agencies. The company says developing the distribution community is one of the strategic focus areas within the waste recycling business and adds that it is constantly looking for new partners.
