Margret Suckale has been appointed a shareholder representative on the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement. Suckale succeeds Alan Murray, who had resigned from his position with the German building materials giant. Her appointment term will expire at the next Annual General Meeting of HeidelbergCement on 9 May 2018.

Margret Suckale has been appointed a shareholder representative on the Supervisory Board of 674 HeidelbergCement. Suckale succeeds Alan Murray, who had resigned from his position with the German building materials giant. Her appointment term will expire at the next Annual General Meeting of HeidelbergCement on 9 May 2018.
“We are pleased that, in Margret Suckale, we have succeeded in attracting an experienced manager from the industry as a new member of our Supervisory Board,” said Fritz-Jürgen Heckmann, chairman of the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement. “Her extensive experience and expertise in the basic industries and the operational management of a Verbund site will be a valuable addition to the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement.”
Suckale was chairwomen of the Employers' Federation for the Chemical Industry (BAVC) and a member of the Board of Executive Directors at 4860 BASF SE until May 2017. In this function, she was responsible for Human Resources, Engineering & Maintenance, Environmental Protection, Health & Safety and the European Site & Verbund Management. At the same time, she was site manager of the plant Ludwigshafen. Before that, she was personnel director first at Deutsche Bahn and then at DB Mobility & Logistics.
