The UK’s Structural Concrete Alliance has released two new videos to showcase its free-to-attend upcoming Practical Demonstration Day, due to take place on 6 September.

The videos, which provide an overview of the day and highlight all the main activities that delegates can expect, can be viewed on the <%$Linker:2External<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary />000oLinkExternalAlliance YouTube channelAlliance YouTube channel linkfalsehttp://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDMboK6rwb-SdB37yYPrw7Qfalsefalse%>.

Having held two successful Practical Demonstration Days in the south of England, the third event is being held in the north at Resapol in Leigh, county Lancashire.  Running from 9-3.30pm, Demonstration Day North will offer delegates an opportunity to witness interactive demonstrations of key repair, protection, strengthening and sprayed concrete techniques.

Delegates visit five separate demonstration stations. Each station will feature live displays highlighting the key preparation, skills and techniques involved in: concrete repairs; carbon fibre strengthening; concrete testing; sprayed concrete, and cathodic protection and monitoring systems.

Delegates will also be given an opportunity to discuss their queries with members of the Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA); 6285 Concrete Repair Association (CRA), and Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA), who will be exhibiting at the event.

The Alliance is also continuing its programme of regional half-day CPD seminars, designed to provide delegates with an Introduction to Structural Asset Protection and Repair. Each seminar offers an introduction to corrosion as well as techniques for repair, protection and strengthening.

Each event will cover causes of corrosion; electrochemical systems; concrete repairs and coatings; carbon fibre strengthening and sprayed concrete, as well as inspection and testing techniques.

Events are scheduled to take place in central London on 3 October and Birmingham on 7 November, 2017.

For those unable to make the seminars or Demonstration Days, the Alliance also offers CPD presentations which can be delivered on-site to interested parties.

The Structural Concrete Alliance is an umbrella organization, which brings together the Concrete Repair Association (CRA); Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA), and Sprayed Concrete Association (SCA), to provide a single coordinated voice for the structural concrete refurbishment and repair industry.

The Alliance says it offers a single point of contact for major clients and a definitive source of information and advice for all involved in the repair, refurbishment and management of concrete infrastructure and the protection from corrosion of a wide range of structures.
