Terex Washing Systems is staging the North America launch of its FM Pentium solution at CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2023

An innovative and versatile washing solution that can wash one grade of sand and one aggregate on a single chassis, the FM Pentium is, says TWS, set to make a big impact in the quarrying and recycling sectors. The solution is said to be a "workhorse" with a "small footprint and high throughput rate".

TWS director Barry McMenamin said: "ConExpo is one of the key shows in the North American calendar and is the perfect platform for us to showcase our innovations and products to what is a crucial market for us.

"The FM Pentium is a first of its kind as a revolutionary static sand and aggregate washing unit, with its increased production and versatility. The machine combines a collection tank, centrifugal slurry pump, hydrocyclone(s) and a dewatering screen. With a feed rate of up to 150tph of pre-screened material, the FM Pentium can produce up to 120tph washed sand. TWS staff and distributors are looking forward to meeting with customers to showcase the new FM Pentium as well as share information on the rest of our extensive product portfolio."

Saving time and money and providing a precise end product, the FM Pentium is said by TWS to be a must-have for dual-purpose washing applications that has a novel twin 12 x 5 screen arrangement producing a washed aggregate and a washed sand. Maximising time and yield for material passed through a machine is a concern for all quarry operators. Targets are measured in price per ton and, subsequently, tons per hour (tph) processed through a machine. Utilising a novel screening method, the FM Pentium washing unit increases the efficiency with which quarries can wash sand and aggregates, being able to wash pre-sized mixed sands and aggregates and discharging two saleable products.

McMenamin added: "Normally, when washing aggregates, quarry businesses would have to wash sand off as slurry, either treating the sand later or wasting it if they didn't want to reclaim it. With the FM Pentium, that process can be skipped, as the sand can be washed away from the aggregate and then graded and screened as a separate product. Effectively, for operations that are processing both aggregates and sand, it's cutting down on time which could be utilised elsewhere."

TWS is a premier provider of advanced washing solutions for material and mineral washing needs in aggregate and recycling industries, with a full portfolio of Water Management Solutions – from feeders to filter presses.

Commenting on TWS's North American support network, McMenamin added: "Our regional partners throughout North America, coupled with TWS headquarters in Ireland, enable us to provide world-class technical expertise, design, solution offering and aftersales support. We are dedicated to helping customers increase their productivity and boost their return on investment through our comprehensive range of solutions that can be tailored to their needs."

TWS will be on the Terex stand at the Las Vegas Convention Center Outdoor Silver Lot at booth #S5435.
