Marangoni and Borrachas start retreading partnership

Retread tyre suppliers 6214 Marangoni and Borrachas Vipal have announced a strategic partnership agreement aimed at increasing the synergies and productivity, strengthening the industrial and commercial organisation of both groups.

The two companies claim the new partnership will lead to "the creation of the largest global independent player in the tyre retreading sector."

The cooperation between the pair will be developed in 2019, with the first phase involving activities in the Americas.

Vittorio Marangoni, chairman of the Marangoni Group, commented: “We are pleased to finally be able to announce this agreement, which is the first result of the new strategic lines of development we recently adopted.”

Marangoni leads Auto & Truck Tyres South African retreaded tyres plant upgrade

Auto & Truck Tyres (A&TT), one of the leading South African suppliers of new and retreaded tyres, has worked with the Marangoni Group’s to completely upgrade its plant located in Wadeville, Johannesburg.

CEO Dino Maggioni leaves Marangoni Group

Dino Maggioni has left his position as CEO of Italian global off-highway retread tyre maker Marangoni.

The Italian company said in a statement that his departure came after its board of directors had “reviewed the strategical directions” that were assigned to Maggioni when he became CEO in October 2016.

It added that Maggioni had consequently chosen to leave his position as CEO as well as all other positions within the group.
