455 Perkins, a major global off-highway machine engine manufacturer, is opening an online parts shop in the Republic of Ireland to enable customers to buy Perkins genuine spare parts quickly and easily.

Whether you are a machine owner, operate a rental business or a repair and engineering workshop, Perkins says its %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 link-external www.perkins.com/shop false http://www.perkins.com/shop false false%> gives customers quick and easy access to the most frequently ordered Perkins parts.

The online shop opened for business in Ireland on Thursday 13 June 2019. Parts will be supplied from the UK-based Perkins Global Distribution Centre. This flagship facility stocks more than 30,000 Perkins genuine parts which, by leveraging our global logics centre capabilities, are available for immediate despatch to our customers in Ireland. The new online parts shop also allows customers to live chat with trained Perkins staff, available to support their online needs.

The online shop is easy to navigate and allows customers to search by engine serial number, navigate by engine series and model, part category, name or number. Every part has a full description, image, and information showing which engine uses the part, so customers can be confident they are ordering the correct part every time. All parts come with a 12-month warranty. If a part isn’t currently available to buy through %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 link-external www.perkins.com/shop false http://www.perkins.com/shop false false%> then customers can register their interest in the product. This request is passed to the local Perkins distributor, who will follow up on the purchase and can provide additional installation advice and support.

“We know many of our customers undertake their own engine maintenance work and servicing, particularly if it’s an older machine, but they still want to use genuine parts to maintain the performance and longevity of their equipment,” said Rob Collard, Perkins aftermarket regional manager.

“The site stocks service and maintenance parts, enabling customers to quickly and easily order a genuine part direct from Perkins and have it delivered the next day. Customers can use their credit card to quickly buy one part or many parts, depending on their needs, so no time is wasted for example by having to set up a business account,” Collard added.

The online shop is said to give Perkins customers quick and easy access to Perkins genuine parts, up-to-date information about the parts on their engines and support from their local Perkins distributor if required.

The launch of the Ireland shop follows the successful opening of online parts shops in the USA and UK in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

“We’re excited to be launching our third shop and we’d encourage Perkins customers in Ireland to go online and explore the new parts shop at %$Linker: 2 External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 link-external www.perkins.com/shop false http://www.perkins.com/shop false false%>,” said Collard. “In both the USA and the UK we’ve had a great response to the online shops and I’m pleased to say we’re serving many new customers with Perkins genuine parts. We’re looking forward to doing the same in Ireland.”
