Dangote Cement’s new Congo plant to deliver first cement next month

Pan African cement manufacturer, the Dangote Cement, says it has maintained its stronghold in the Nigeria domestic cement market accounting for 65% of the country’s market volume, while other African plants’ volumes went up by 7.5% to 7 million tonnes/year.
The company has in the past months expanded its operations across Africa with the coming onstream of the 1.5million tonnes/year integrated cement plant in Mfila, Republic of Congo.

Nigeria-based Dangote Group is planning to invest €213.09 million) to build a cement manufacturing plant in Congo. According to a statement, the plant will be located in Yamba and work for the construction of the plant is scheduled to take 30 months. On completion, the plant will be producing 1.5 million tonnes of cement annually.
