Cemex hosts Concordia visit

Cemex hosted a visit to one of its French quarries to a group of young volunteers who are participating in the Concordia programme. Cemex France welcomed the group of 16 young people into its quarry in Oytier-Saint-Oblas last week as part of the company’s participation in the Fondation Renaud, which is supported by the French Ministries of the Interior and of Culture. 643 Cemex hosted a visit to one of its French quarries to a group of young volunteers who are participating in the Concordia programme. Cemex France welcomed the group of 16 young people into its quarry in Oytier-Saint-Oblas last week as part of the company’s participation in the 4657 Fondation Renaud, which is supported by the French Ministries of the Interior and of Culture.

The group included young people from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Russia and France who are all participating in a Concordia project close to the quarry site. During the visit the group learnt about how the quarry is working to mitigate its impact on the environment and restoration of the quarry to farmland.
