Cemex supplies concrete for one of the largest power plants in Dubai

Cemex supplied 100,000 cubic meters of concrete for constructing the Hassyan Power Plant, one of the largest in the GCC, nestled in Dubai, UAE.

This plant is designed to be best in class for efficiency. It minimises fuel consumption and emissions, meets stringent environmental standards, and generates 2,400 MW net of electricity, 25% of Dubai’s demand. It features four ultra-supercritical boilers, steam turbines, and generators near the iconic World Expo 2020 venue in vibrant Dubai. 

Dubai aims to produce 25% solar, 7% nuclear, 7% clean coal, and 61% gas energy by 2030.
