The AEM is keen to emphasise that the CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction machinery exhibition will go ahead as planned

Exhibition management have noted an encouraging registration trend, having added an additional 4,031 new registrations since Friday 28 February.

Appreciating people's concerns about coronavirus, they have stressed their keenness to be as transparent as possible by sharing information about what is being done to prepare for what is the biggest global industry exhibition of 2020.

Show chiefs have also released some facts about the make-up of event attendees: 92% of registrants are from North America. Of the remaining 8%, 2.5% were registered attendees from Asia. Some of them have since notified event organisers that they will no longer be coming to the exhibition.

In regards to cancellations, CONEXPO-CON/AGG exhibition bosses say that new registrations have continued to outpace attendee cancellations. Most of the under 700 cancellations are from international audiences. To put this in perspective, this represents less than 1% of the total number of expected exhibition attendees.
