Popular off-highway industry author David Wylie has published his latest book, Earthmovers in USA Australia & Europe

A correspondent for Earthmovers magazine, Wylie's new book is the next chapter in his sold-out 'Earthmovers in' series of books. It brings more mining- and quarrying-related site visits to life with his travels across Europe and halfway around the world.

Now on sale, Earthmovers in USA Australia & Europe features 23 of Wylie's reports, including company profiles, mining machines and cutting-edge payload technology in action. The book has new insights from machine designers, along with the views of highly-skilled and experienced operators and managers, sharing their wealth of experience operating mining machines.

Wylie's new read also features the largest operational dragline in the world and some of the largest rope shovels, hydraulic earthmovers and dump trucks from the likes of Caterpillar, Komatsu and Liebherr-Mining. They include the massive 7500-ton Bucyrus-Erie 2570WS dragline, P&H 4100XPB & Bucyrus 795HR rope shovels, Cat 795F and Komatsu 930E haul trucks in Wyoming and the mighty (120t heavy-duty) Komatsu D475A-8 dozer in the UK. Readers can also get the lowdown on the Cat 240-tonne 994 wheeled loader, Liebherr 800-tonne class R 9800 and T282C haulers in Australia. Wylie's visit to Liebherr-Mining factory in Colmar, France, is another content highlight. Furthermore, a Komatsu PC360-11 SLR with a bespoke Euro-Fab dredging bucket is also covered.
