The report from Global Construction 2030 comes as forecasts are that in France further improvement is also forecast for 2017, with 3.4% growth (source: French Building Federation, FFB) in the building sector and 1.7% in public works (French Public Works Federation, FNTP) in volume.
Such is the healthy backdrop for the forthcoming edition of INTERMAT, the international trade show for construction and infrastructure, to be held from 23-28 April 2018 in Paris, France.
The organisers say that INTERMAT promises to be a premium meeting place for market players from the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) such as building contractors, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and solutions who will be able to discuss and develop their projects designed to contribute to the development of regions.
With major projects such as Grand Paris Express in France; the extension of the Al Maktoum Airport in Dubai; the construction of the Brenner Tunnel between Italy and Austria, and the fourth southern Algiers bypass, the EMEA zone offers a multitude of opportunities for professionals working in the construction sector.
“Faced with these colossal projects, it is imperative to support building contractors. By constantly addressing their needs, construction equipment and solutions, an essential link in the building and public works sector, will help to guarantee the accomplishment and durability of their projects,” says the organisers.
“INTERMAT has confirmed its status as the reference trade show for the construction and infrastructure sectors, and is fully committed to this fast-evolving market and to fulfil the expectations of the sectors’ players.
“The 1,500 exhibitors and 183,000 trade visitors from 167 countries will be offered access to innovation, educational lectures, networking opportunities, market analysis and insight into the potential of major construction projects. “
The show is now organised into four hubs of expertise: Earthmoving and Demolition; Roads, Minerals and Foundations; Buildings and Concrete Sector, and Lifting, Handling and Transportation.
The new Observatory section will offer an exclusive analysis of the major construction projects underway and planned to 2025-2030 and of the main market players involved in these projects, while four themed villages will promote technological innovations.
These are the Construction Tech 100% Start-up village; the Smart Road village; the Smart Building - BIM village, and the Demolition village.
At the pre-INTERMAT on 18-19 January 2018 in Paris, the winners of the INTERMAT Innovation Awards will be unveiled.
