Lafarge French quarry scheme rejected

Local opposition has led to Lafarge’s plans to extend its Thorée-les-Pins quarry in France being rejected. The local council turned down the plans with 11 votes to one, however the mayor has said that he wants to pursue a study to assess the project’s interest for the local area.
