Manisha Morar, 28, joins IQ following six years at KPMG in London, where she worked in human resources, training and learning deployment and development. Her new challenge involves implementing upgrades to IQ’s e-learning courses and learning management system.
James Thorne, IQ’s chief executive officer, said: “We are entering an exciting new period in IQ’s history. As we celebrate our centenary it’s important that we make sure what we do is fit for purpose for today’s online world. Manisha is tasked with taking our e-learning programmes to the next level, so that they’re more interactive, engaging and intuitive.
“She has a great deal of experience from her time at KPMG and we’re looking forward to benefiting from the application of her learning to create a compelling IQ e-learning portfolio. After all, when and where we learn is changing so our offer needs to reflect this. We wish her luck and are delighted to welcome her to our team.”
Commenting on her new role, Morar said: “I’m from a corporate background, working for a firm that employs more than 12,000 people nationally, so the environment at IQ is completely different. The great thing is that my skills are transferrable, so as part of a smaller team I’m really looking forward to having more responsibility and making a personal difference.
“I get great satisfaction from helping develop people and so am really interested to see the demand for the higher education qualification grow as we upgrade our e-learning courses.”
Morar studied Human Resources Management and Business at Oxford Brookes University. She has recently relocated to Nottingham from London.
