Smopyc exceeds expectations

Spain’s 463 Smopyc exhibition, held in Zaragoza last month, has reported higher than expected visitor numbers with a significant increase in foreign visitors. The organisers have reported that almost 89,000 people from 50 countries gathered at the event to view the products being displayed by the 1253 exhibitors.

Organisers said that while the 2008 show set the record in terms of the highest number of visitors to the show, the 2011 figures not only reflect the current situation but also suggest a recovery with respect to the mood of the market.
