French cement, ready-mixed concrete and aggregates product major Vicat is switching its head office from La Défense, in Paris, to L'Isle d'Abeau, near Lyon, where its operational headquarters, innovation centre and factory are located.

The company has 9,000 employees and generated €2.74bn in sales in 2019.
French media outlets report that in September 2020, 35 employees will move to L'Isle d'Abeau as part of a plan to reduce operational costs, while fostering synergies and innovation. It will also be easier to implement health and safety measures in the new site.
A multi-national business with customers in four continents, Vicat's sales in May 2020 were better than in March and April 2020 but remained slightly lower than in 2019.
