CRH, the international building materials group, has announced Ernst Bärtschi’s retirement
from the CRH Board. Bärtschi left the sector giant on Wedensday 20 December 2018. Commenting on his departure, CRH chairman Nicky Hartery said: "On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Ernst for his commitment and service to CRH over the last six years, and wish him every success in the future."

Al Asriyah Marble Company, an Oman-based globally renowned marble processing company, has chosen a water treatment and sludge dewatering plant solution from Fraccaroli and Balzan (F&B) as part of its overhaul of machines used to process stone materials.

An investment worth SEK 30 million (€3.2 million) has been finalised and Thomas Cement, a subsidiary of Thomas Concrete Group, is opening its new terminal for import of binding materials in the Port of Uddevalla, north of Gothenburg, Sweden. One of the largest and oldest oak trees in Britain has been spared a risky makeover by CEMEX UK’s Wickwar Quarry manager, Frank Hogg.
