Concrete supplied by Hanson was used to create the sub and super-structure of one of London’s new landmark residential buildings.
Lexicon is a 36-storey tower of 146 residential apartments in Islington, North London. Behind its striking glazed façade, the building’s core, floorplates and structural rectangular columns are all constructed from one material – concrete.
Concrete, all 15,000m³ of it, of was chosen due to the height of the structure, which stands 120 metres high on a very small footprint.
