Cemex has opened a new €900,000 production plant near Branne in south west France. The facility will produce concrete for Bordeaux region-based projects, replacing Cemex's other plant in the area, located in Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens. Built on a 5,000m² plot, the new plant has a 360tonne granulate storage capacity. As well as its substantial production capacity, the plant has high security and environmental standards. It has ISO 14001 environmental management certification, as do all Cemex's French plants.

The facility will produce concrete for Bordeaux region-based projects, replacing Cemex's other plant in the area, located in Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens. Built on a 5,000m² plot, the new plant has a 360tonne granulate storage capacity. As well as its substantial production capacity, the plant has high security and environmental standards. It has ISO 14001 environmental management certification, as do all Cemex's French plants. The new plant is grey, rather than white as all the firm's others are, so that it fits in with the area's scenery which is rich in historic monuments. Cemex has over 330 production units across the France.
