Netherlands-based Boels Rental has signed a deal for 250 JCB machines including telescopic handlers, wheeled loading shovels and wheeled excavators.
It is the fourth major order in four years that Boels Rental has awarded to JCB and means the company now has more than 1,300 JCB machines operating across Europe.
JCB Group managing director of global accounts Jo Bamford said: “This is a very significant order and we are delighted to have secured this important business from Boels Rental.”
The telescopic handlers have lift capacities of 2.5-4tonnes and are made at JCB’s World HQ in Rocester; the JCB 411 and 427 wheeled loading shovels are manufactured at JCB Earthmovers in Cheadle, and the JS145W and JS175W wheeled excavators are produced at JCB Heavy Products in Uttoxeter, all County Staffordshire, England.
All the machines are being supplied with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system which monitors service requirements and protects them from theft.
The Boels business, based in the Maastricht region, started in 1977. The company has more than 335 outlets and operates from more than 1,800 rental locations in hardware stores in The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and Poland. It employs more than 2,600 people.
