Lafarge Egypt to invest US$3.2bn in local cement

Lafarge's Egypt arm intends to invest US$16.8 million (€14.95 million) in a recycling project thereby expanding the total investment in the local Egypt cement market to US$3.20 billion (€2.85 billion) by the end of 2015. The project is anticipated to start within six months of the receipt of the land from the government. The company intends to expand its market share, which is presently calculated at 14%.

725 Lafarge's Egypt arm intends to invest US$16.8 million (€14.95 million) in a recycling project thereby expanding the total investment in the local Egypt cement market to US$3.20 billion (€2.85 billion) by the end of 2015.

The project is anticipated to start within six months of the receipt of the land from the government.

The company intends to expand its market share, which is presently calculated at 14%.

Lafarge Egypt (8161 LafargeHolcim) will also deliver national projects, which are presently handled by the government, in the coming future.
