DB Schenker Rail wins UK aggregate transport contracts

Aggregate transport contracts have been awarded to DB Schenker Rail by J Clubb, Brett Aggregates and United Asphalt. Ash will be transported from West Burton Power Station to East Peckham in County Kent, south-east England, as part of the contract with J Clubb.

Aggregate transport contracts have been awarded to 4549 DB Schenker Rail by J Clubb, Brett Aggregates and United Asphalt.

Ash will be transported from West Burton Power Station to East Peckham in County Kent, south-east England, as part of the contract with J Clubb.

Two trains will operate each week and will carry 1,200tonnes of product per train as part of the six-year deal.

Meanwhile, the company's ten-year contract with 3712 Brett Aggregates will see it transport aggregates from Cliffe, Kent, to Neasden, north London. Some 1,300tonnes of material per train will be carried by the service, which will operate two trains each week.

Hard stone aggregate will be transported to Theale, County Berkshire, from Ipswich Docks and Avonmouth Docks as part of a five-year contract with United Asphalt. Three services a week will carry 1,300tonnes of product per train.
