Following the merger between their respective parent organisations, cement manufacturers Holcim Vietnam and Lafarge Vietnam have merged, with the transaction set to complete in 2015.
The arrangement will help LafargeHolcim to optimise the production with respect to oversupply- a challenge currently encountered by many local cement producers.

Following the merger between their respective parent organisations, cement manufacturers 680 Holcim Vietnam and 725 Lafarge Vietnam have merged, with the transaction set to complete in 2015.
The arrangement will help 8161 LafargeHolcim to optimise the production with respect to oversupply- a challenge currently encountered by many local cement producers.
Lafarge Vietnam accounts for 12% market share in Vietnam, while Holcim Vietnam accounts for 26% share, with their main products being concrete, cement and aggregate.
The merged entity will retain their individual brands such as Holcim Power-S (Holcim) and Lavilla (Lafarge). LafargeHolcim has eight ready-mixed concrete batching plants and five cement plants in Vietnam.
