Lafarge invests €600.000 at Bouc Bel Air

Lafarge has invested €600,000 (US$646,128.59) replacing the hoop of its furnace at its cement factory in Bouc Bel Air, southern France. The hoop, which weighs on average 70tonnes, is a central mechanical part of the oven, allowing the cooking of material coming from the quarry. It is changed on average every 60 years. 725 Lafarge has invested €600,000 (US$646,128.59) replacing the hoop of its furnace at its cement factory in Bouc Bel Air, southern France.

The hoop, which weighs on average 70tonnes, is a central mechanical part of the oven, allowing the cooking of material coming from the quarry.

It is changed on average every 60 years. The work was carried out by Cofely Endel of the GDF 7903 Suez group, and required around 30 employees and the furnace to be shut down for three weeks.

The Bouc Bel Air factory has a production capacity of 800,000tonnes/year.
