The Italian competition authority has decided not to launch an investigation into the acquisition of a business unit of Sacci, the Italian cement company, by peer company Cementir Italia. As a result, the operation can now go ahead. Sacci's plan was due to be submitted to the creditors' scrutiny at a court hearing being held today (14 March 2016).
