Buzzi Unicem, the Italian construction materials specialist, has successfully carried out the placement of a bond with a nominal value of €500 million (US$564.16 million) and a seven-year duration. The notes were placed exclusively with qualified investors, bearing a minimum denomination of €100,000 and a fixed annual coupon of 2.125%.

The emission price was 99.397% of the nominal value.

The placement was oversubscribed by six times the offer.

Standard & Poor's confirmed a BB+ rating for the notes.

Banca Imi, 4515 BNP Paribas and Citi were joint bookrunner and lead manager for the operation.
