Kenya’s Karsan Ramji & Sons to build cement plant

Karsan Ramji & Sons, a Kenyan quarry operator, plans to build a cement plant with average daily output of 700tonnes and costing KES 428mn (€3.81 million/US$4.18 million) at Engashura.

The company is hoping to start building the factory in December 2015 and begin production in November 2016.

Karsan Ramji & Sons will produce cement from the plant by mixing gypsum and pozzolana from its quarries with imported clinker.
