Volvo Construction Equipment’s A60H articulated hauler

Volvo Construction Equipment’s largest articulated hauler, the new 55tonne capacity A60H, can be seen for the first time in Great Britain at 427 Hillhead 2016.

It has been designed for heavy hauling in severe off-road operations, including quarries, opencast mines and large earthmoving operations.

The A60H is powered by a 16litre Volvo engine, delivering 495kW and 3200Nm of torque, and has a maximum speed of 54.9km/hour.

“With intelligent systems from Volvo, such as MATRIS, CareTrack and the On Board Weighing system, customers can optimise production and minimise operational costs,” says the company.

Volvo celebrates 75,000th hauler

Volvo Construction Equipment recently celebrated the production of its 75,000th hauler. The 75,000th machine – one of the new generation A45G full suspension models – rolled off the production line in late June at the factory where Volvo’s first hauler – the DDR631 or ‘Gravel Charlie’ – was made, in Braås, Sweden. And although Volvo articulated haulers can be found all over the world, the 75,000th machine is staying relatively local, going to Norwegian customer Leonhard Nilsen & Sønner AS.
