The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) President and CEO Michael Johnson has issued the following statement commending Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY-23) and Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24) for leading the creation of the bipartisan Congressional Aggregates Caucus.

The Caucus serves as an informal, bipartisan group of House members that will provide an educational forum on industry challenges and policies affecting aggregates producers.

"The creation of the Aggregates Caucus is a historical event for our industry, and we are grateful for the leadership of Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY-23) and Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24), who will be the co-chairs. The aggregates industry provides the essential materials to build our nation's infrastructure and connect our communities. With Congress set to consider critical legislation for our industry, from tax reform to surface transportation reauthorisation, the formation of this Caucus comes at an opportune time."
