While mobile crushers are designed to work in harsh conditions, it is the customers that really put the equipment through its paces day after day. Nonetheless, 3167 Rockster was surprised by the capability of the R1100 one of its German customers proved recently on a recycling project - crushing porcelain and glass. The customer was not only using the 32tonne machine to crush old toilets and glass but it was also performing well at this task.

The customer was using the new 300tonne per hour machine as part of its final field trials and Rockster's initial concern about the 'abuse' of the machine turned out to be a good test, according to CEO Wolfgang Kormann. The customer had finished processing the concrete at the site early than expects so started to reprocess the other waste on site. Rockster has said that the R1100 produced "perfect final grain" from this unusual feed material.
