Sir David Chipperfield is the winner of the prestigious 1829 British Precast Creativity in Concrete 2013 Award.

Having established David Chipperfield Architects in 1985, Sir David and the company have been responsible for a number of diverse and innovative creations around the world using concrete. For example, projects such as The Ciutat de la Justícia

(City of Justice) in Barcelona, Spain; the rebuilt New Museum in Berlin, Germany, and more recently the San Michele Cemetery in Venice, Italy, all demonstrate creativity applied in diverse constructions. Sir David Chipperfield has taught at many esteemed schools of architecture worldwide, including Professor of Architecture at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kuenste, Stuttgart, Germany, and Visiting Professor of Architectural Design at Yale University, USA.

He is renowned and respected for his designs that evoke experiences while combining concept, aesthetics and function.
