McCloskey Washing Systems’ new Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Ireland
McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) has confirmed that it is on target for the opening of a large state of the art manufacturing facility in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland in April 2017.
The announcement follows the recent launch of MWS as a new division of McCloskey International. The new world-class premium manufacturing facility will manufacture the entire range of MWS equipment including Mobile, Modular and Static Mineral Washing equipment

McCloskey International has appointed Shanghai Shibang Machinery (SBM) as its new China distributor. SBM will look to increase the crushing and screening giant’s presence in the Asian country’s huge quarrying and construction markets; having recently acquired its first McCloskey machine, an S190 Triple Deck Screener.

UK-based Gallagher Aggregates has bolstered its already sizeable fleet with the addition of three new Bell Equipment machines; secured through a deal made at the Hillhead 2016 exhibition.
The stand-based negotiations at the Buxton, Derbyshire showpiece event in June, which stemmed from a longstanding relationship with Bell Equipment, led to Kent-located Gallagher Aggregates investing in a new Bell L2606 Wheeled Loader, together with a Bell B30E ADT and a Bell B40D ADT. Shell opens advanced bitumen solutions centre in China
Shell Bitumen has officially opened its new Shell Bitumen China Solutions Centre (BCSC), located within the Hongyi Technology Industrial Area in Shanghai’s Songjiang District. It replaces Shell Bitumen’s solutions centre in Beijing.
With the opening of this new facility, Shell’s downstream business is now co-located with its technical centres in Shanghai, following the opening of Shell’s commercial centre in 2015 and its lubricants regional technology centre in 2014.

Yeoman Halsvik, a Norwegian subsidiary of construction materials supplier heavyweight Aggregate Industries, has successfully helped to stabilise the wreck of a World War II submarine.
The German submarine U-864 was sunk by the British in 1945 while heading to Japan to transport war load – including a large quantity of mercury. Due to the torpedo attack, the U-864 was divided into sections and sunk to a depth of 145m-160m.
