New business success for Banner Contracts has seen the Yorkshire & North East England crushing and screening specialist in two more Bell Equipment B40Ds

A new business win for leading crushing and screening specialist, Banner Contracts, has seen the Yorkshire and North East of England operation further bolster its high-specification fleet, with the addition of two new 2983 Bell Equipment B40Ds.

The purchases have been made to enable the nationwide contractor to fulfil an intensive limestone processing contract at Coxhoe Quarry in County Durham; where utilising efficiency to deliver results is key.

Banner’s B40Ds have already been set to work in the quarry, performing within a rigorous environment, under challenging conditions.

Having already experienced the capabilities of the six Bell B40Ds currently performing within its existing fleet, Banner was familiar with the aptitude of this hard-working ADT model. Once the company learned of its success in achieving the Coxhoe Quarry contract, confidence in the B40Ds abilities led Banner to open negotiations with Bell, securing two further machines to enable the project’s fulfilment.

“The Bell B40D is the ideal machine for an excavation and hauling project such as that at Coxhoe,” explains Jo Banner, company director at Banner Contracts.

“We know from experience that this vehicle has the exact level of stamina required to perform a demanding 11-hour shift, hauling limestone from the top bench to the process line.

“Working alongside the 905 Tesab screening equipment and Möcklan screens supplied by our sister company, Banner Equipment, the endurance of this practical machine, alongside numerous additional key features, meant we knew the two new B40Ds would step up to the mark.”

The additional attributes Jo refers to are the machines’ impressive rates of fuel consumption, consistent reliability and attractive price.

“While the B40D is slightly less expensive than other competitor models, we find there’s no significant difference in the quality of the machine,” he continues.

“Our operatives also tell us they enjoy driving the B40D, and the aftercare service we receive from Bell is attentive, effective and in our experience, second-to-none.”

With its advanced fuel-efficient, emission-certified Mercedes engine, rapid engine response, and dependable cold-start performance, the B40D delivers clean power in all conditions; even in environments deemed muddy, rutted or hilly, the model’s oscillating frame and high-floatation tyres, help to prevent it from getting lodged or stuck.

Richard Higgott, sales and marketing manager at Bell Equipment, has been involved in equipping Banner with its latest fleet additions. He’s delighted to hear that the B40Ds capabilities are selling themselves so effectively as to lead to repeat purchases:

“It’s great when a machine meets the exact needs of a client. Learning that Banner had no reservation in securing the purchase of two further machines for the Coxhoe Quarry contract instils us with confidence that the ADTs we’re designing are truly performing and enabling our customers to take their businesses further.”
