Concrete results from Poland

For the fourth quarter running, the volume of concrete goods manufactured in Poland grew year-on-year in the first three months of 2011. According to the Concrete Commodities Manufacturers Association (SPBT), 3,226tonnes of goods were produced, which was 57% up on the first quarter of 2010.

For the fourth quarter running, the volume of concrete goods manufactured in Poland grew year-on-year in the first three months of 2011.

According to the Concrete Commodities Manufacturers Association (SPBT), 3,226tonnes of goods were produced, which was 57% up on the first quarter of 2010.

On the strength of this very good performance, SPBT estimates that sales volumes will grow 12-14% year-on-year in the whole of 2011.

Vulcan Materials sees revenues rise 8% in 2014

Vulcan Materials said its fourth-quarter 2014 earnings surged on continued growth in aggregates shipments and stronger average selling prices.

The largest US producer of construction aggregates, based in Birmingham, Alabama, reported revenues up US$223 million (8%) to $2.994 billion for the year ending December 2014.
