CRH announces completion of Americas Distribution divestment

CRH, the Irish global building materials group, has completed the divestment of its Americas Distribution business to Beacon Roofing Supply for €2.2 billion (US$2.63 billion). It follows an agreement that was first announced on 24 August 2017. In 2016, Americas Distribution reported EBITDA of €150 million on sales of €2.3 billion, with profit before tax of €121 million. 723 CRH, the Irish global building materials group, has completed the divestment of its Americas Distribution business to Beacon Roofing Supply for €2.2 billion (US$2.63 billion). It follows an agreement that was first announced on 24 August 2017.

In 2016, Americas Distribution reported EBITDA of €150 million on sales of €2.3 billion, with profit before tax of €121 million. Its gross assets as of the first half of 2017 were €1.2 billion.

It is thought the proceeds of the sale will help fund future CRH acquisitions.
