CRH sells Benelux DIY business

Irish global building materials group CRH has sold its DIY business, Benelux, and related assets in the Netherlands and Belgium for a total of €510mn. The DIY business was sold to Intergamma, the Dutch organisation which has been operating it as a franchise. Certain property assets related to the DIY business were sold to US real estate investor WP Carey. Irish global building materials group 723 CRH has sold its DIY business, Benelux, and related assets in the Netherlands and Belgium for a total of €510mn.

The DIY business was sold to Intergamma, the Dutch organisation which has been operating it as a franchise. Certain property assets related to the DIY business were sold to US real estate investor WP Carey.

In separate CRH news, the company has announced that on 18th July it transferred 5,858 Ordinary Shares - priced between £12.22 (€13.69) and £24.51 (€27.46) per Ordinary Share - to participants in its employee share schemes.

Following the transfer CRH plc holds 9,434,542 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 833,955,796.
