David Meyer is Ash Grove Cement’s new VP and chief financial officer

David Meyer has become US-based 7989 Ash Grove Cement Company’s new vice president and chief financial officer.

In his new role at the firm’s Overland Park, Kansas City HQ, Meyer will direct accounting, treasury, internal audit, tax and information technology functions.

“Dave brings 17 years of corporate finance leadership in strategic planning and capital markets as well as financial planning and reporting within a large corporate setting. His prior experience also includes seven years with a Big 4 public accounting firm. Dave is a great addition to our senior management team,” said Ash Grove Cement Company president and chief operating officer Randy Vance.

Most recently, Meyer served as senior vice president – finance for Dairy Farmers of America, a US$13 billion dairy cooperative headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. Prior to his employment at Dairy Farmers of America he served as audit manager for Deloitte, also in Kansas City.

“Ash Grove has a great history of success here in Kansas City and is well-respected in the cement manufacturing industry,” said Meyer. “I am eager to use my strong background in accounting and finance and experience with transactions to benefit the company.”

Meyer earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Kansas State University and is a certified public accountant.
