Dr Dominik von Achten to serve an extra three years as Heidelberg Materials' managing board chairman

In its meeting on 20 March 2024, Heidelberg Materials' supervisory board extended the mandate of managing board chairman Dr Dominik von Achten, which expires at the end of January 2025, by three years until 31 January 2028.

Having been chairman of the managing board since February 2020, von Achten has led Heidelberg Materials successfully in challenging times. He has played a decisive role in expanding the company's global pioneering role in the decarbonisation and digitalisation of the building materials industry in combination with Heidelberg Materials' convincing financial performance.

"With Dr von Achten, we have an experienced manager at the helm of the company who has excellently positioned Heidelberg Materials on a global scale and set the course for the future with great commitment," says Dr Bernd Scheifele, chairman of Heidelberg Materials' supervisory board.

A longstanding Heidelberg Materials executive, von Achten has been a managing board member since 2007. He served as deputy chairman of the company's managing board before taking on his present chairman role.
