Brazilian ornamemtal stone extraction and processing company Guidoni Group has bought two quarries in the country.

The quarries are Via Lactea and Emerald Green, which supply two new stones.

Guidoni Group, which is based in Espìrito Santo, now has almost 50 granite, quartzite and exotic stone quarries. The company is an exporter of blocks and slabs offering the international market a range of coverings for different projects.

Located in Santo Antônio do Grama in Minas Gerais state, the Via Lactea quarry supplies granite that is distinguished by a deep dark colour dotted with white veins.

The Emerald Green quarry, situated in Mirangaba in Bahia state, supplies a delicate green quartzite with shades of emerald, cream, gold and greys intertwined. Guidoni says that the material’s typical translucence make it suited for backlighting projects.

Guidoni Group supplies the national and international market with 15,000 m³ raw blocks per month and 170,000 m² natural stone. The company plans to expand from the raw stone segment into the sale of finished products, and has invested in a new specially dedicated logistic hub.

It is also launching a new product for the Brazilian domestic market. Mykonos quartzite features two adjacent surfaces that are mirror images, which the company says creates a unique design that accentuates the appeal of natural stone.

“We intend to always continue proposing new products, focusing on the individuality of natural Brazilian stones which have extraordinary veining and unique colours and shades,” said company CEO Rafael Guidoni. "Via Lactea and Emerald Green are high-impact solutions, in line with the market trend to pursue contemporary, creative and versatile coverings."
