Lafarge to increase cement plant waste recovery

Lafarge intends to further increase its replacement rate of fossil energies on the biggest cement plant in France at Saint-Pierre-la-Cour. The replacement rate of those fossil fuels currently used could reach 83% thanks to a new shredded solid waste recovery workshop which was inaugurated in March 2016.

725 Lafarge intends to further increase its replacement rate of fossil energies on the biggest cement plant in France at Saint-Pierre-la-Cour.

The replacement rate of those fossil fuels currently used could reach 83% thanks to a new shredded solid waste recovery workshop which was inaugurated in March 2016.
Lafarge thus aims to be less dependent on imported products and promote local industry.

In 2013, the replacement rate of the cement plant was 60%, up from 39% in 2012. In 2015, the rate was 38% in all French plants.
