France-based 725 Lafarge has developed a new type of concrete which reduces the need for water drainage infrastructure.

Hydromedia is permeable and can drain water at a rate of 3cm per second, which reduces the risk of flooding. With a porousness of up to 35%, it can be used for patios as well as for pavements or car park surfaces and other public spaces.
