Partnering with CEMCO, a leader in the design and manufacture of crushing equipment, the Portable Frac Sand Plant was completed in early 2012, and is capable of processing 150tons/hour (136tonnes/hour) of raw feed, thus allowing customers with good deposits to start producing more quickly.
McLanahan, among the leaders in the design, engineering and manufacturing of highly efficient custom frac sand plants, says producing a McLanahan Frac Sand Plant in portable form offers an additional option for customers and an affordable means of production.
McLanahan says the plant is easily moved from one deposit site to another, making it easy to produce frac sand at multiple locations.
“It also saves owners time and money by cutting down on the construction and start-up time that is typically associated with a stationary plant,” says the company.
The plant contains McLanahan’s processing equipment, including sumps, pumps, a flat bottom classifier, cyclones and a split-deck dewatering screen.
The equipment is mounted on two separate chassis with a free-standing feed sump for the ease of customer feed. The flat bottom classifier chassis has a mounted hydraulic system designed by CEMCO, which to ease raising and lowering the plant with minimal assembly.
The plant can be set up and operational in approximately 16 hours and is electrically controlled.
