2842 Italmobiliare, the Italian investment holding that controls cement company 726 Italcementi, has posted a turnover of €2.6 billion for the first half of 2011, compared to a turnover of €2.57 billion in the same period of 2010.
The holding's profits rose from €84.3 million to €164 million, an increase attributed to the capital gains achieved in the sale of Italcementi's Turkish operations.
Italmobiliare has stated that it is difficult to make predictions for the second half of 2011, given the worldwide economic uncertainty.
