Wet processing equipment provider
Having grown its team by 65% over the last 2 years, the Northern Irish company says it plans to create an additional 150 new jobs by 2020. CDE adds that the new facility can accommodate over 400 people and claims it houses the world’s largest engineering team dedicated to wet processing technologies.
CDE managing director Brendan McGurgan said: “The new base brings everything together under one roof. Over the last ten years we have grown out of the existing offices in Ballyreagh.
"As we continue to see strong growth in markets around the world for our range of wet processing equipment, our new headquarters provides an outstanding base from which to expand and develop our business and our workforce.”
He added that the new centre of excellence would provide a cutting-edge and collaborative environment that strengthens the company's commitment to developing sustainable innovations to advance the circular driven economy within a New World of Resource.
CDE says its new base features the latest technology to maximise the creativity and productivity of staff. It adds that the new space will support the collaboration and team-working that is crucial to delivering the ideas, products, and innovations that will drive the company’s future growth.
CDE chairman Tony Convery added: “Our goal is to deliver a consistent, world-class service to our customers and we now have a world-class headquarters from which to do that. It is somewhere that we are very proud to bring customers to from around the world, and which will help us to continue to recruit the very best engineers and people in the industry.”
At the event, the firm also announced the creation of CDE Talent Camp, which will run between 24th and 28th June this year. It will provide 15-17-year-olds from schools and colleges across Northern Ireland with the opportunity to take their first steps into engineering and to explore how a major business operates.
Following an application process, 20 pupils will be selected to spend a week at CDE’s new base, meeting its engineers, exploring its operations, and gaining engineering and business experience. The company’s talent team will also be available to provide training, advice, and coaching.
CDE provides equipment for the construction, mining, industrial sands, environmental and construction & demolition waste industries. Over the last 25 years, the company has designed and installed almost 2,000 turnkey wet processing solutions across the world.
