Available in sizes 27.00x49, 31/80x49 and 31/90x49, the new tyres have been developed with the MRLS Recaflex and MDT Recaflex profiles, and have a deeper tread pattern than the previous models, increased from 70 to 75mm. This feature, combined with a larger footprint and a low hysteresis compound, is said to guarantee longer tread life, with maximum hourly performance and without negatively affecting casing life.
As a result of its work at the Rovereto R&D centre, Marangoni says it can offer custom earthmoving retreads based on the performance required for different applications, allowing users to choose between four different types of tread compound available: from the W2 compound with maximum resistance to cuts, to the H1 with low heat development able to operate at high average speeds.
MRLS Recaflex is a non-directional profile featuring a deep and solid pattern for use on materials transport vehicles working in open-cut mines/quarries, while MDT Recaflex, which has non-directional tread design and enlarged base, is particularly suitable for use on dumpers and it is said to have excellent self-cleaning features.
