NCC's green asphalt cuts carbon

Sweden-based construction business NCC reduced carbon emissions from its asphalt operations by 9,500tonnes last year through use of greener methods. The company achieved this through greater levels of recycling and larger production of environmentally-friendly asphalt. NCC has reported that it recycled 670,000tonnes of asphalt last year – a 13% rise on 2009 levels – and it also said demand for eco-friendly asphalt was rising too.

NCC has reported that it recycled 670,000tonnes of asphalt last year – a 13% rise on 2009 levels – and it also said demand for eco-friendly asphalt was rising too.
